For those of you who aren’t familiar, Rollercoin is a free online website where users play old-school games with a crypto twist. Just like Tetris, but you’re matching blocks of Dash against blocks of Bitcoin. Or riding your little hamster character on a rocket through candlesticks until you reach the endpoint.
Each game starts off on the easiest setting, and the games become minutely more difficult as you increase levels. You’ll gain “mining power” as you complete the levels (or partial power depending on how far you got in the game before losing your 3 granted lives per game).
Personally speaking I think it’s a brilliant platform, considering you can delegate your mining power to mine their native token (Rollercoin) which is used to upgrade your miners and used to pay for a heavy discount in certain special events they have. You can also ‘mine’ Bitcoin, Dogecoin and even… Ethereum…..?
With the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 fork the platform has yet to announce what the process will be as anyone familiar who’s spent at least a few months in blockchain should know there’s a substantial difference between Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Work.
At the moment, Ethereum is still mineable. You can still delegate your mining power toward Ethereum. But what will happen when the famous 2.0 fork rollout occurs?
With 1,302,257 Rollercoin users (and growing, rapidly might I add) the team should be working up a plan, hopefully sooner than later.
If you’ve yet to enjoy this new creation, feel free to use my referral link, don’t worry, you’ll get a reward too! https://rollercoin.com/?r=kblirxhl
Or you can join without it, and without a reward, ahem.
Whichever comes first, the Rollercoin or Ethereum 2.0 update, I’ll be sure to update the lovely 0x crowd on the status of this unique game.
