Every new discovery and invention in science has three stages: exaggeration, disappointment and realization. When the invention first produced, it created an excitement wave quite alike a hype. Everybody related to or unrelated of the topic starts to talk about. It would completely change our world, it would let us conquer the space, it would wipe out the war form the surface of our beloved world... But in the end, science doesn't have feelings. No hype can shape it and if any new discovery has a way of participating in the development of humankind then it has a place among the service. If it doesn't have anything to do with a positive effect then we say bye for good.
Like countless others, Graphene is currently having the same experience. Probably, it's in between exaggeration and disappointment phases and so many people hope it will be realized eventually. Basically, graphene is a material which consists of two dimensional, carbon atoms lined up to create one layer. This means graphene is material which has a thickness of a diameter of a carbon atom.
