Today I read an interesting update from Leofinance about Hive onboarding made a lot easier now. I'm a huge fan of this update. We all know that Leo is a second-layer token on Hive and surprisingly the price of Leo tokens is far better than Hive. I know we cannot compare it straight away like that because the supply of Hive and Leo are totally different. But for a project that started recently, it is tremendous growth.
There is no wonder if the price hits 1$ or even more than that. The reason is that Leo has a good team of whales and also has the potential to surpass Hive and that is what is happening right now. Coming to the topic, Leo has made onboarding a lot easier right now by introducing different login methods.
There is no big surprise in that because we already have different ways in which we can create new accounts on Hive. Once it used to be a nightmare to create accounts. I still remember how I used to go to DM of some people in discord to get a new account created. I did not have enough HP by them to create new accounts.
Today I have enough HP with me to create accounts on my own. Things have become a lot easier. During the initial days, if people need new accounts, they will have to pay for it and get it. I guess there are some services still offering a paid account. But paid accounts also come with a small delegation benefit as well.
Hiveonboarding made the onboarding process and account creation process a lot more simple. Apart from that many whales and developers of the platform also offer account creation in a simple way. Though we have all these benefits, there was one thing that was missing.
We have to understand that people who are coming to the platform are initially ignorant. They don't understand how this platform works. I have had this problem explaining the platform to some of my friends. Especially when explaining the different types of keys we use in this platform, it is not easy to grasp all the concepts.
With the Twitter authentication or account creation introduced on Leofinance, I'm glad that a new user need not keep their keys safe. There is a facility available in the interface where the key is automatically kept safe for them and all they have to do is just log in using their Twitter authentication and start using this platform. Later when they read about the different keys and come to know how it works, they can safely download the keeps and keep it safe or log in directly with the keys on other Hive dApps as well.
I consider this feature as a great feature and welcome this. I'm glad that I don't have to explain to my friends about the keys and ask them to join the platform directly with their Twitter logins.
