The world is advancing really fast and we all know that Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are going to be the future. In that case, it is very important to understand some of the basic concepts of crypto and even teach your kids the same. There are some strong reasons why we should be teaching crypto to our kids. At least I think there are 3 very important reasons why we should keep our kids up to speed on crypto and crypto-related things.
As parents, we have to keep our children financially equipped. But at the same time, it is also important that we have to make sure they make good financial decisions. In order to make such decisions, they should know some basics about cryptocurrencies and how it is going to be in the future. The younger generation of kids will have exposure to digital currencies much sooner. They shouldn't choose the wrong path and that's an important reason why they should be fed with this knowledge.
For basic financial knowledge
Financial knowledge is very important for every individual. Let it be kids or adults, basic financial knowledge is important. The reason why children need this is that their generation is going to get exposed to cryptocurrencies sooner than the adult generation. Our parents did not have exposure to mobile phones but we have the knowledge and we can say that we are better at using mobile phones than our parents. The same applies to our younger generation. Maybe we might find it hard to understand these complex financial concepts but future generations of children are going to be exposed to these easily and they have to be very careful with their financial decisions.
Sometimes kids will have difficulty in differentiating the knowledge that comes from trustworthy sources and untrustworthy sources and this is one of the best places where the parents should get involved and help the kids understand the information.
For being very careful with their investment and financial decisions
The kids are going to be exposed to many investment opportunities sooner and in some cases even when they are just a child. Some children have access to their parent's assets and credit cards and they make their spending on their favorite games. Imagine if the game is a blockchain or a crypto-based game. They have to be very careful with their investment right. Spending for the sake of fun is different but if they are going to be investing for long-term benefits without their parent's supervision, they might do things wrong because they might have the knowledge but not the experience in making financial decisions. That's one reason why parents should be involved and they should understand crypto and teach crypto to their kids. The teaching need not necessarily be at our home. Even the school education can cover all these necessary topics.
To conquer the future world of cryptocurrencies
In the future, there are going to be lots of opportunities available to conquer the crypto world. When computers came into existence nobody realized that they would make people lose their jobs and it would replace humans in the form of automations. This can happen with cryptocurrencies as well. Things we are doing manually are going to become digital in the future. Imagine a situation where it becomes all decentralized as well. This is an important transition and we have to travel with our kids on this. It is better to begin exploring cryptocurrencies already and also start educating the children making them find a good opportunities for them in this in the future.
