One of the two companies that gave me a job interview on Friday wants to give me a month's probationary employment, to see if I'd be a good fit for the job and the company environment. I haven't even done a technical assessment yet. For nearly two years, I've been struggling to find fixed/permanent employment and getting nowhere. Then all of a sudden, bam, somebody contacts me out of the blue with two opportunities of which I wasn't even aware! Not only that, but I also got a fairly decent tax rebate, too. I'm not even sure how that worked, since I haven't payed tax in over two years, but I'm taking it and not asking questions. How ridiculous is that?
Now, I just need to learn WordPress, Laravel and C# in the next week or two, if I am going to maximise my chances of blowing them out of the water with my mad skills. I really hope that they're prepared to wait that long so that I can do that. I'm unlikely to be posting for a month or so, while I focus on getting my career up and going, but I will be back. If you miss me, you're welcome to find my writing index (a few to several posts back) and tip me in my absence.
Until further notice, Snark out! So long and thanks for all the ETH!
