It's my 6th Hive Birthday.
I guess Birthday time is time for the celebration, it is time to party and enjoy. so I also make no exception. Overall you get more experience and become more mature (not sure) . I joined Hive (or Steemit) while researching Bitcoin. 6 years ago, Bitcoin was making waves, it reached $19000 and made news worldwide. Just wondering if $19000 Bitcoin was too high at that time, just like the current $44000. Not sure in the next 6 years it might be in the range of $250000 as a lot of things start changing for Bitcoin with adoption by big corporates, getting legal tender status, and being classified as a form of investment in almost all over the world.
Anyways, Bitcoin's high transaction costs and considerable time required for transaction confirmation did not make sense to me initially but I got that it helps in the network security. Bitcoin is considered a "store of wealth" and I am looking for a way to create wealth and learn about the ways to create in like like-minded community. "Hive" looks to me like the right platform to be in and I am still hooked to this platform now. Hive give me multiple ways to earn and learn simultaneously and most importantly it opened the doors for me to passive earnings by staking Hive and HBD.
Over 6 years, I have built my stake in Hive, Hive second layers tokens, and Splinterland's, and at the current price of Hive and SPS that I will say are currently undervalued still help me to earn $100 per month, which I will say not bad at all but still less than my targets. So I am building my stakes more and hoping for Hive and SPS to pump so that my passive income also becomes 4 folds.
$100 per month might look like a smaller amount but the good thing is that this income is generated with little time spent (My pleasure to spend time, otherwise there are so many automated tools to take care of this), and is now the fruit of my labor in Hive. Also whatever I learned in these years gives me the confidence to understand crypto, economics, and the human side more. I am also hopeful to generate more income with my knowledge in the future as some of the starting years were just used for planting the seeds to bore fruits in the future.
