This year's mushroom harvest was very abundant. It is true that the season lasted less than a month, but in a short time it was possible to collect a large amount of all kinds of mushrooms.

Tegoroczne zbiory grzybów były bardzo obfite. Co prawda sezon trwał niecały miesiąc, ale w krótkim czasie można było nazbierać sporą ilość wszelakich grzybów.

One day in October we had a lot of luck. Of course, we went to the forest in the middle of the week, so as not to meet crowds of people in the forest, and of course we hoped for a sensible harvest.

Pewnego październikowego dnia mieliśmy sporo szczęścia. Pojechaliśmy oczywiście do lasu w środku tygodnia, aby nie spotkać tłumów ludzi w lesie, no i liczyliśmy oczywiście na sensowne zbiory.

We were not disappointed, we collected dozens of porcini mushrooms and other mushrooms in less than 3 hours. But the greatest joy was the parasol muschrooms, which, as I counted later, we collected 50 pieces. It's a record. Then, of course, there is the problem of how to process such a mass of mushrooms so that nothing is wasted. We dealt with that as well. Some went to frying, excess fried was placed in vinegar, and a large part went to a dish called "tripe with parasol mushrooms" - it still has frozen supplies for several dishes.

Nie zawiedliśmy się, nazbieraliśmy w niespełna 3 godziny kilkadziesiąt borowików szlachetnych, oraz innych grzybów. Ale największą radość sprawiły nam kanie, których jak później policzyłem uzbieraliśmy 50 sztuk. To swoisty rekord. Potem oczywiście pojawia się problem jak przerobić taka masę grzybów, aby nic się nie zmarnowało. Poradziliśmy sobie i z tym. Część poszła do smażenia, nadmiar usmażonych został ulokowany w zaprawie octowej, a duża część trafiła do potrawy o nazwie "flaczki z kani" - ma jeszcze zamrożone zapasy na kilka dań.
