Piękny dzień i rekordowe zbiory

The weather today was absolutely perfect. Sunshine all day, a light breeze, and temperatures nearing 24°C—a rarity for October.

Dzisiaj pogoda była wręcz doskonała. Słońce przez cały dzień, lekki wiaterek i prawie 24 stopnie na plusie to rzadkość w październiku.

Once again—as we have been doing for the past couple of weeks—we headed to the forest to forage for mushrooms. We never go early in the morning like many others do; instead, we go in the afternoon, often around 2:00 or 3:00 PM.

Ponownie, jak to robimy od kilkunastu dni, wybraliśmy się do lasu na grzybobranie. Nigdy nie chodzimy wcześnie rano, jak to wielu robi, ale po południu. Często o godzina 14-15 sta.

Despite the late start, today’s haul was a record-breaker. We found about 3 kg of edible mushrooms. Bay boletes made up the bulk of the find, but there were also a few porcini mushrooms in the mix.

Pomimo tak późnej pory nasze dzisiejsze zbiory były rekordowe. Znaleźliśmy około 3 kg jadalnych grzybów. Przeważały podgrzybki, ale znalazło się też kilka borowików szlachetnych.

I also took precise measurements of the site today and dug the first hole for a fence post. Tomorrow, the first concrete pour.

Dzisiaj również dokonałem dokładnego pomiaru terenu i wykopałem pierwszy dołek pod słupek ogrodzeniowy. Jutro pierwsze betonowanie.
