Hello everyone, I'm Byron from Canada and I draw zombies. I draw a lot of zombies. I draw so many zombies that I don't even know how many I have any more, because not only do I draw them, I also hoard them. I have always been reluctant to sell my artwork for reasons beyond the typical arty answer of "it's like selling one of my kids" - usually it's because I don't like dealing with the business side of my career.
But that needs to change.
I was, once, getting pretty good at mailing out artwork
I especially liked it when people would respond with excited posts saying they received their package. There was a point where I was very much on top of my game for selling and shipping.
But then the pandemic hit and changed the world and I was on a bit of a mental decline already, so that just exacerbated the situation and I stopped trying to sell artwork so I didn't have to mail artwork. Then once I stopped it was hard to start again. Then I found NFTs and not starting again was easy. NFTs were the answer I needed at the time and I did pretty well. Managed to get out of some financial messes, bought some much needed some supplies, and took care of bills.
Then the bear came along but I was used to it so I kept building and making art and minting. It was fun and I enjoyed the hell out of building up the Horde community.
But now it's time to change gears again. The bear is ready to slumber again and the bull is getting near. I could be wrong, not financial advice. But if I'm right, then I need to buckle down and focus on building and completing some of the cool activities we have been making over the years. So to do that I will need to also refocus on selling some of the original artwork I have hoarded over the years. I don't know the best way to do this so I'm going to learn what works for the community I am currently in.
The first venture into selling the original artwork actually came about because of the first Late Night Art Session I had with Monica. We both created some small abstractish artwork, minted them on the WAX blockchain, sold some NFTs and then I offered to sell each painting for just $20usd - so far 3 have sold.
Then during a conversation with the person buying the cat painting, I was encouraged to start letting other artwork go to those that would really appreciate it. So that is what I am about to do.
I don't have a choice. I am running out of room to store my artwork.
So much accumulated over the years
So with all that said - watch my twitter posts and keep watching my posts here. I will start posting stuff for sale all over the place until I know what works. If you have seen art of mine that you want to own, reach out and let me help you make that happen.
