Hello and welcome to Byron's ramblings on the Publish0x. If you've been following Byron for a day or two you probably know that he is constantly working on things to try to keep the fun and excitement going for everyone that collects his NFT art.
Doing that on the WAX blockchain is probably the easiest thing to do because there's very little expense and so many possibilities.
None of the other blockchains are even close to the power that WAX has for creators.
For example, we've all seen the PFPs and Generative Art projects like BAYC and it's countless derivatives. To create something like that on other blockchains will take some big brains and a knack for programming. On WAX however, the geniuses at NFTHive.io have done all that work and they let the WAX Creators the ability to use it for free.

The fun thing with the WAX PFPs is that they're not typically listed for hundreds of dollars. Most of the time these are listed for as little as 50 cents and as much as a couple of bucks. Because of the low fee to mint, people often mint 2 or 4 or a dozen more. So that often leads to people having way more NFTs of a PFP drop that they really want to have. So what to do with all of those extras?
Some people burn, others just hold and hope.
But what if you could take a handful of NFTs and turn them into something new and more rare? Would you do it? On WAX that's part of the fun and thanks to WAXDAO.io we can blend up the PFPs to get something new.
It's a bit tricky to set up because you need to be sure to include all the correct information about the ingredients.
This isn't really a tutorial about how to make blends on WAXDAO, but more just letting you know how powerful the tools on WAXDAO are.
The main example for this article is the ability to add specific NFTs based on their attributes.
For the Twitchy blend a collector needs to have all 9 normal suns. For the creator to set this up on WAXDAO, they need to choose the attribute option when selecting their ingredients.
After you type in the Quantity, Collection name and the Schema you want to use, push the Load Attributes button to get a list of all the attributes your PFP has, and then select the one you want to narrow it down to, and then type the name of the attribute in the provided field.
Do that for all the ingredients you need, in the case of the Zany Rays of Sunshine, it had to be repeated 9 times because to use all 9 basic balls of sunshine. After it's finalized you let people know and hope that they like what you've built.
The nice thing for creators that get their collectors burning NFTs is that it frees up RAM so they can make more Zany collectibles.
This is just one of the powerful tools that are freely available to creators on the WAX blockchain.
