Captain Tom Moore has led a lifetime of service to the UK, from the battlefields of WW2 to the battle against Covid-19.

On the eve of his 100th Birthday Captain Tom decided to embark on a challenge to walk 100 lengths of his garden to raise money for charities and good causes.

The Captain has raised over £30 million for the NHS and frontline workers as of this morning, the largest ever fundraising campaign on Just Giving and he now holds the record for the oldest person to top the UK singles charts with his rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone

His fundraising achieved the record title for the most money raised by individual charity walk. After breaking a record that has stood for 40 years, Captain Tom Moore has earned himself a spot in the coveted Guinness World Records book, as well as featuring on the front cover of Guinness World Records 2021

Not only has Tom broken this long standing record, but on 4th of April 2020, Tom and Michael Ball officially topped the UK charts with their single You'll Never Walk Alone. This also makes Tom the oldest person to reach number one in the UK charts at 99 years and 359 days old.
