Coindesk just published a great report comparing top US universities blockchain programs.

This in-depth analysis measured the school’s impact, post-study job prospects and campus blockchain offerings, as well as survey responses, to determine top U.S. universities. At the top of the list we'll find Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Cornell University; University of California, Berkeley; Stanford University and Harvard University. Many smaller regional, or liberal arts, universities also made the list.

All around the world colleges and universities are key point for the development of new technologies, habits and culture, and they are often able to deliver game-changing assets to companies, institutions and associations. Blockchain technology benefits massively from university influence, and much of the evolution has roots in institutions of higher education

What about the rest of the world?

The increasing demand for blockchain education is not something strictly US related. Worldwide companies are hiring a lot of skilled developers all around the world, making blockchain is the most in-demand hard skill of 2020, according to LinkedIn. Top blockchain-recruiters include: IBM, Oracle, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, Amazon, and American Express.

Universities across the world are reacting to the increasing demand for blockchain skills, and introducing degrees specializing in blockchain.

I found this list with the most famous 50+ Universities Offering Blockchain Degrees: it's not suprising to see how the growth of blockchain technology and its benefits to industries like finance, real estate, and software, among many others, created an increased market demand for developers with the necessary skill set to build software solutions based on the decentralized distribution of data.

An increasing market for developers necessarily means a huge demand for education and training.
