Tech Republic's summary report August 3rd, 2022
Has the top three bridge thefts listed, lets do a quick tech comparison

Now what type of thefts could the above be?
Yes someone 'hacked' these bridges, the question is who?
Usually imo, it takes theft of keys, which means someone near, possibly blackmail, and /or really someone really competent at hacking keys was involved.
Smells like "Inside Jobs" to me, to be able to grab so many keys and pilfer so many accounts.
Keep in mind, Trying to break crypto keys is a task only the large supercomputer owners are capable of completing.
( like those supercomputers owned by NSA and MI6 and, under the direction of their govts (we think), as both have master key crypto technology to support their "investigations".)
Motives?
Get Rich fast?
Crush your business competitor out of existence?
Personal Stuff?
Take your pick, it's usually one or all of the above.
MO (Method of Operation)?
Laundering:
Set up Accounts, lots of them, use the bridge often to launder in bound USDx to what ever the bridge supports and then make the money vanish?
Sting:
"Hey user our product its bullet proof", then take the money and run..
Hacker:
"How much?, Sure I can do that..." (The Why? any of the motives above...)
Opportunity?
Since there is really no formalized govt oversight and regulatory control on any of these so called Bridge "Money Services" in the cryptosphere, it means the 'perps' of these thefts can do their thieving any time they want, from anywhere, within the private security framework setup by these companies offering bridge services.
TK Observation?
Hmmm. These three 'grand thefts" read like the classic get rich motive gig similar to "Two Fires and a Lightning Strike" Insurance scams. Ok granted, Harmony made their users whole, what about the other two?
Likely 'inside jobs'? Maybe...
The Remedy?
The govt federal policing fraud squads handling the crypto scene in each of the USA(FBI) and UK(Scotland Yard) have their work cut out for them, will likely need the help of the NSA and MI6 to step in to figure it out, IF either organization is inclined or pressured (politically) to do so. After all, our collective use of the Internet and Web is 'permissioned' by these two groups anyway, whether we acknowledge that salient fact or not.
Comments please :)
You be the Judge of how each theft went down, as always, I am very interested in hearing your comments below,
Please do your homework,
Bridge users beware.
TK over and out...
