Ranking Every Bring Me The Horizon Album Worst to Best

So I'm a big fan of Bring Me The Horizon. They're probably in my top 3 favorite artists of all time. I actually got into them in high school when they released the Cut Up edition of their album Suicide Season and I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever heard. For a long time I wasn't really a big fan of their harder stuff so I drifted away from listening to them until ~2019 when Amo came out, and I went back and listened to Sempiternal and That's The Spirit and got really into them again.

Anyway, I think their more experimental stuff isn't appreciated enough on other album rankings for them so I decided to do my own, because I absolutely adore their experimental work. So without further ado, here is my ranking of their albums from worst to best. And yes, I am counting Suicide Season as two albums because I think Cut Up is so different it needs its own listing.

9. Count Your Blessings - 0/10

Honestly unlistenable. Not even Pray for Plagues is tolerable and it hurts to listen to. I honestly hate this album.

Count Your Blessings

8. Suicide Season - 3/10

This one is listenable but still hurts to listen to. Some songs are still okay like Chelsea Smile and The Sadness Will Never End. Cut Up was just such an improvement that it's hard to go back to the original tracks now.

Suicide Season

7. There is a Hell... - 6/10

I have to be in the right mood to listen to this one because it's just so aggressive and hard all the time, but I do enjoy it. Crucify Me and It Never Ends are definitely highlights from this album.

There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let's Keep It a Secret.

6. Sempiternal - 6.5/10

Okay, don't crucify me for this but I think this album is just okay. I do like it, and particularly enjoy Antivist and Shadow Moses but overall it's just harder than I can enjoy most of the time.

Sempiternal

5. Post Human: Survival Horror - 8/10

I'm one of the fans who sort of preferred the softening of their sound post-Sempiternal, but I do appreciate their harder stuff to. I'm just not one of those who were celebrating this one being a "return to form" because I think they were good the whole time. Kingslayer is definitely my favorite song on this album. Weirdly, I'm not a big fan of the song with Amy Lee, but the rest are all wonderful.

4. Suicide Season: Cut Up! - 8.5/10

So good!!! This is what first got me into Bring Me The Horizon way back in sophomore year of high school! Every song is infinitely better on this Cut Up version than it was on the original. The Outcry Collective remix of the title track, as well as the Skrillex remix of The Sadness Will Never End are definitely highlights on this one for me.

3. amo - 9/10

This one is easily the most accessible of their albums. It's also one of my favorites and pulled me back into their music after I had stopped listening for several years. My favorite track is definitely why you gotta kick me when i'm down? because it's just a fantastic harder dark pop song which was just so cool to get from Bring Me The Horizon!

amo

2. Music to listen to... - 9.5/10

Hands down the best album to listen to while high as shit. Steal something is also a great song to listen to while shoplifting...or so I hear.

Ahhhhh!!!!! I love this album so much!!! It's so good all the way through! Every single song is fantastic.
