I think not only me, but most of you are used to considering censorship a thing of the distant past. We all remember the terrible death of Socrates, the many dissenters who disappeared without a trace in the dungeons of the Great Inquisition, Galileo Galilei and many, many others.

In fact, in our time, censorship has not gone anywhere, it has acquired slightly different forms. So what are we doing today? And what kind of censorship has acquired today. I would characterize it as digital censorship. With the development of engineering and IT technologies, our whole life has been transformed and smoothly flowed into the Internet and social networks. Accordingly, so does censorship. Books, films and even computer games have all come under the all-seeing eye of censors. If earlier all the issues monitored by censorship were related to issues related to freedom (and now they have not faded into the background), now issues related to security have also come to the fore.

Our favorite childhood cartoon "The Bremen Town Musicians" is now almost impossible to see the full screen version, parts, lyrics and some plots are cut from it. And all why? Because, it turns out, this can be seen as propaganda for an anti-social lifestyle, vagrancy and the media try not to get involved with the film's ambiguous plot.

Until recently, social networks were indifferent in matters of politics, but recently, as we all know, several political precedents have occurred. And since then, under pressure from the heads of digital companies and the state, censorship has been introduced into this area as well. Why? Because just like politicians, corporations take their power in public opinion, or rather in that part of it that dominates in a given day and hour. And of course, they show their superiority over us in every possible way.

And the censorship that comes from such hands is even worse, because when it comes from commercial organizations, it has no alternative, none of us can sue, we have no way to appeal, except for those prescribed in the user agreement . Well, we all know what is fixed there. All rights belong to the digital corporation. We are left alone in this struggle, which a priori cannot be won.

What do we do? Solcial is a social network based on the idea of decentralization. What does it mean? That neither the creators of the network, nor the state, nor any Internet monopolist will be able to limit us, block or delete our page on the social network. It will not be able to impose a ban on our point of view, if it is different from the generally accepted one. We can freely speak about our views and express our point of view. And this gives us that we can have a complete picture of some event and give a more competent assessment.
