Bessent Anointed King of Gold?

In comes Lord Bessent to lead us through all of this cloak and dagger speculation about where all the gold is.  I have no clue and have been criticizing gold for this exact predicament for years now.  Where the hell is it and who owns it?  Anyone can run a Bitcoin node.

With regards to "monetizing the asset side of the balance sheet" . . . . . . . . yup nobody will touch Fannie so AU obvious candidate for the here and now.  Even so, a nice buffer for TGA but it does not eliminate the need for the Fed to ultimately revert to an asset purchase program.  Further delaying Checkmate?

Speaking of asset purchases, ZeroHedge reports on the Fed Minutes . . . . . .

bonds on bank balance sheets

Musk handing out Stimmies?  Trump says maybe we don't owe all of that debt (ok so don't make the next coupon payments and watch yields skyrocket).  Who knows what might happen.

When Does China Leak Become a Rupture?

A whole bunch of tailwinds now for Bitcoin which can feel very surreal considering the journey going back more than a decade.  Among the Top 3 most powerful (arguably number 1 in the here and now and immediate future) is the wind in its sails Bitcoin has from capital flowing out of China - and the PBOC has yet to actually devalue the Yuan!

From some excellent analysis by ZeroHedge:

yuan leaving china

But it's "no big deal" and just a bunch of neanderthals on ZeroHedge drumming up nonsense, right?

JGB Yields Soar

An aging population.  Lot of seniors on fixed income.  No control over food and energy prices, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.

japanese food imports

Gotta hammer down inflation . . . . . . . after a few decades of deflation and insane, eye watering JPY evisceration.

bond yields in japan

Rising rates impact economies.  Who owns all of these bonds?  What could the BOJ do?  In order for the BOJ to intervene . . . . . . . the highly likely course of action requires selling UST.

Keep an eye on Japan.

I Demand AltSeason Now . . . . . . . . . Or Else I Might Stomp My Feet Alongside AOC

Gimme me my AltSeason damnit!  Do you think the market is betting on Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Any day now, the 'flippening' will arrive.

Google Snuggles Up To Bitcoin

Whether you like Google or not, this is meaningful and impactful.  Apparently, Google wants to weave Bitcoin into all of their stuff.  Don't listen to me - I have resentment against Google after selling way too early after perfectly waiting for a proper base to form post-IPO (IAW IBD), but that is my fault not Google's fault.  YouTube greatest acquisition in the history of business.

Really cool site that provides a ton of updates and information on the Lightning Network.  Check it out:

Bitcoin Weekly

Inside that green circle looks fairly calm considering we had the most important Fed meeting ever, the most important jobs report ever, tariff mania, the most important CPI ever, etc., etc., etc.  Hmmmmm.
