This morning CoinGecko and Access Protocol announced a commemorative NFT drop opportunity for CoinGecko Candies collectors - for 300 Candies, CoinGecko users can collect one of 20,000 NFTs available from the collaboration. But before I dive in, I should note that many users are having errors when trying to complete this offer; I haven't even been able to claim it myself, so be advised before moving forward that you may run into issues.
If you're unfamiliar with CoinGecko Candies, it's a point system that CoinGecko app users can earn by logging in and claiming each day. Candies in the past have been used to reward users with discount codes, airdrops, NFT giveaways, and more.
To begin the claims process for this particular offer, the tweet from CoinGecko directs users to claim directly from the CoinGecko website (this offer is, for some reason, not available on the app this time). At the time of writing, I'm personally getting an 'expired' box on the claims page in spite of there supposedly being roughly half of the claim codes left. Other folks on X are reporting error pages after claiming with their 300 Candies. Personally, I'm going to wait before moving forward with this offer until it looks like these errors have been addressed, but your experience may vary.
Once/If you have used your Candies to claim your reward code, head to the "My Rewards" tab on the CoinGecko website and locate your redemption information. Submit your Solana address (be sure not to use an exchange or an incompatible wallet) and you're good to go!
