æternity Universe One was the first major event dedicated to the latest research and development in blockchain and to gathering the whole æcosystem together. It took place on September 20th and 21st, 2019 in Prague. We'll tell you more about the Developer Track today and will focus on the Entrepreneurs Track's highlights next time.

As a matter of fact, æternity's development community gathered in Prague one week before the Universe One conference to hold the first official AE hackathon. At the end of it, three quite impressive projects were selected, namely Identity of Things, Gameternity, and Memehunter. Actually, the winner - Identity of Things, was developed by Kryptokrauts - long-term æternity supporters and community members. You can read their testimonial on the experience HERE.

æternity Universe One featured more than 30 technical discussions led by industry pioneers and experts. The topics spread through æternity's core features, Sophia smart contract language, security, UI/UX design, and many more.
To name just a few that definitely need your attention, these would be Erik Stenman's talk on FATE Virtual Machine, Hans Svensson's one on Generalized Accounts, and Michal Zajda's presentation on æternity's Naming System.
We invite you to read a detailed overview HERE.
