I'm a late joiner to Splinterlands, very late joiner. I wasn't giving many thoughts to the game, considering that it was too late to join, but while lurking on the Cryptomonkeys Discord, I fell vctim to a very bad case of FOMO from my fellow monkeys. They decided to create a new guild welcoming newcomers, and that was it for me. Had they not proposed the guild, I would probably have resisted, but at the idea to have fun altogether and build something, I had no other choice than to join.

I put what I considered a limited but reasonable budget to start by buying a few cards, and then it was time to grind and earn enough to be able to rent and level up. I ended up in gold 3 for my first season (joined 9 or 10 days vefore the end). Nevertheless, let's get back on topic: my first brawl.

I had the chance to have the choice for my first fray, and got a regular bronze one, with 7 duels to fight.

1st duel: I chose Dragon/Earth for a win against Dragon/Earth

4th duel: no show from my opponent, maybe a problem for him with the end of season server issues

5th duel: I chose water for a win against water

To be honest, I wasn't expecting at all to have such good results, but it was obviously an excellent surprise! If I could win as much in regular duels, that would be great (but I can already confirm that it is not happening at all with the start of the new season). Let's hope I will perform as well for the next brawl, but this time I will have to enter a gold fray, and I'm not full of gold cards (rentals, here I come!).

As for our guild, we were so close to be on the podium, but no cigar: we finished on the 4th position. We're quite happy nonetheless for this 1st brawl, and we'll do our best to be even better next time!
