It was a Sunday and it's of course a rest day for most of us. My family was gathered around singing and drinking. We were just having fun and was taking advantage of the opportunity to take time off work and enjoy each other's company.
One of my sisters asked us to play with her. And of course we all asked what game she's playing now. We all used to play Call of Duty Mobile before and we all play as a team. We aren't really that good but we just play for fun. She said that she was playing another game called Stumble Guys. She implored us to download it and we humored her for the sake of it.
My data connection was just okay, nothing fancy, not so fast, you know, GLOBE. But the download was just a short wait because the game itself isn't that big and there were no other additional resources that you needed to download to play the game.
As I opened it up. I tried to navigate its interface and it was easy to go around since it was all clean, organized, and user-friendly. You can see it in a glimpse here:

Pretty neat eh? It took me just 2 minutes to familiarize my things about the layout and to claim all the free stuff they were giving away.
Stumble Guys is an online multiplayer game with a battle royale kind of gameplay. It's just like CODM or PUBG, but a little less violent. Instead of killing a bunch of players to get to the victory, you just need to finish obstacle courses to be victorious. It is a race against other players. The obstacle courses feature some games that will remind you of Squid Games.
The gameplay is also simple. Each game starts with 32 players. They will race through a random obstacle course. The first 16 players to reach the finish line will qualify for the next round. And then the next round will be a race amongst the 16 players and only 8 will proceed to the third and final round wherein the victor will be crowned.
The controls are pretty easy to master too. There is just a directional pad or dpad on the lower-left side of the screen that you will use to move your character around. And then there's the single command button on the lower-right corner of the screen. It's used to jump or to shoot, whatever the course needs your player to do. That's the action button.
The first attempts you make, you will meet a lot of failures. You will jump so high and you will overshoot some platforms that will send you out of the course, you will fall in a river, in a lake, or even in outer space.
It may not be a play-to-earn game but it's fun. It's not an NFT game either but I repeat, it's fun.
You can play it by yourself and you can go head-to-head against other players on the internet or you can make a room wherein your buddies or friends can join you in that room. That's what we did. We created rooms so we can all play together on the same course and at the same time and we were joined by some players and some bots.
You can play it competitively and get amazing rewards, but for me, it's really meant to be played to have fun. I recommend that you play it with your friends or family and just go all-out in laughter as you try to best each other out in these treacherous obstacle courses. You will really be stumbling in laughter when you play this game with your funny friends. Games are meant to be fun, right? Have fun and enjoy!!!
