Three Cryptocurrencies for Beginners with Zero Investment

Best Cryptocurrencies for Beginners

Investing in cryptocurrencies means a lot of commitment and whole another lot of DYOR. Trying to convince your friends or family members to invest in it is a challenge for this very reason. Some argue that it's all nonsense with no benefit that comes out of it. That there isn't anything that crypto does better than what already exists. That may be true in some cases but most truly solve a problem. Yet, there aren't many products out there that average man or woman can use and fully benefit from tangibly. That makes it a hard sell because crypto is not something people can grasp over a dinner conversation. Sure, some of the enthusiastic ones might agree to buy token x or coin y, but the first sign of trouble and you hear no end of it.

There is much debate about whether DeFi, NFTs, or play-to-earn will make it mainstream, bringing in the crowd. The truth is, none of them will; in their current form because onboarding is no small task. In my opinion, any product that does not require users to invest more time to understand than their full-time jobs and businesses and busy lives are the ones people will use, bringing in mass adoption.

Three Cryptocurrencies for Beginners

Keeping this in mind, I have a pick of three so far that I like to introduce people to, especially if they are unsure or not keen to take risks. Chances are you already use these or are familiar with them, but if you are not, here's a little about each one of them:

  1. Brave Browser

It is a privacy-focused browser, blocking ads and trackers and making browsing the internet a breeze. Turning on ads is also rewarding, for users can benefit by earning BAT tokens. The earnings can either be accumulated and withdrawn to a web3 wallet or used to tip creators for their content.
  2. Presearch

A privacy-centered search engine that rewards users with PRE tokens for everyday searches. If you are a business owner, you can also run ads with keyword staking to generate traffic for your website. Advanced users can also run nodes and generate passive income, but for beginners, just using the search engine is good enough as it requires no commitment other than registering and using.
  3. Publish0x

Register, read, tip, and earn. Another fantastic platform to explore with zero investment. Readers can tip authors for the content and accumulate a percentage of rewards for themselves. These tips don't cost anything and come from the platform. For writers, this comes with a built-in readership, which admittedly has a larger crypto audience. Though that's another win, right? You get to earn while learning.

Brave, Presearch, Publish0x

Why these cryptocurrencies?

  1. Onboarding: These are super easy to start using. The most it requires is to register with an email, or in the case of Brave to save the keyword phrase securely.
  2. Practical: You don't have to go out of the way to use them. Search engines are our everyday staples of interfacing the internet, and the first two fit seamlessly into our lives. There's little to zero change in user experience. Publish0x, on the other hand, is a great place to read or write not just about crypto but about a host of other topics, and what's great is that it is a multi-lingual platform.
  3. Incentives to use: The best part about the rewards is not that it generates passive income. Instead, it is the immediate shift in psyche that says, 'hang on, I get paid for regular tasks?' From there on, it is a matter of pulling the thread till it unravels.

There are other fantastic platforms adopting cryptocurrency, but I've not included them in this list because of a certain amount of crypto understanding required to onboard. That is not to say that they are not good, merely that if the argument is for cryptocurrency, then the usage should be organic rather than forced. Any newcomer into the space can use one or all of the above without any knowledge prerequisites. After using a while, it is typical to follow the natural curiosity to learn and use more crypto products. In the longer run, that's a better victory for the ecosystem.
