Six months ago I discovered a bit of diamond in the rough. I had been searching for a another consistent bitcoin app. Shakepay has been dominating the standings and made putting any effort into other applications not really that fruitful. After adding apps that only half worked (Go Mining) and some that didn't work at all (Alfa Pro, ETH Miner) I found an app called Bitcoin Miner. You can read more about Bitcoin Miner here.
In my first review of the app I was using only the basic game mode to great success. I have explored the game more and have found a few other facets that make it even better. The developers have also done a good job of adding features to keep the game fresh.
The three things I want to touch on are:
Midweek Event: Save Piggy Jr.
This one is fun and offers a change in the gameplay experience. You get pickaxes and you mine your way to lower levels while picking up powerups and satoshis. If you get to level 5000, you get save Piggy Jr and get a bonus.
I have tried very hard but I do not think it is possible to get to the 5000 level without spending a huge amount of nodes. This mini-game is fun, but not really that profitable. Satoshi tokens are few and far between.
Weekend Event: Build the Rocket.
The second new game type is a variation on the main game. The game play is the same, but now you amass the token of the week to get enough points to build a section of the rocket. Once a section is unlocked, you receive a reward. The reward at the highest level is 100 satoshis. I do not think it is possible to achieve the highest level. However this does make it possible to get around 30 satoshi in a day from rewards alone.
Daily Faucet
This is a huge add. Once per day, you can open up your app and click on the faucet to receive a satoshi. For every consecutive day you log in and click the faucet you get an extra satoshi. I am unsure of how high the faucet will build, but it can at least pay out 40 satoshis. I see an unfortunate problem coming in the future. If I rack up a year of faucet claims ( and the daily payout is 375 sats) I would be earning more in a day than I would be allowed to withdrawal. If this does arrive, the app because mostly pointless. Even if I rack up 1,000 sats daily I can only get to actualize 300 daily.
Even with these changes Bitcoin Miner is still 2 out of 5 stars.
It is not perfect but it works and if you follow the strategy that I outlined here you can make a little bit of Bitcoin for very little effort.
