Shake Pay makes the dream work. It is the only thing that makes living in Canada tolerable. Shakesats are hilarious but effective. The BTC card is so effective at racking up satoshis, and now my shakesquad is working hard. My Shakepay is firing on all cylinders. And then the developers drop a new way to earn satoshis. 

ShakePay is bank. They no doubt have been making money on the back end lending out and my bitcoin. They have to make money at the end of the day, and thats ok. Now they must have been making a lot of money, because this new feature is great.

It is not quite game changing, but its wildly convenient. Shakepay is incentivitizing users to hold cash on their balance sheet, so they can play banking games with the Canadian dollars. In turn they will pay 3.75% interest annually, paid weekly in Bitcoin. Hold CAD get paid in Bitcoin its bascially a no brainer. 

I am curious to see how it is calculated, and how it pays out. I don't ever hold much CAD in my wallet, but I may have to start. I do however have several different pay sources that feed into my Shakepay, so I am hoping to get even 1 extra sat per week. 

If it starts to make sense, I may hold a bigger balance in there.

This is maybe a way to double beat inflation. Hold and spend Canadian dollars. Inflation erodes the value of your money by 2-3% per year. Get rewarded 2 - 3% per year on your CAD. Right there inflation is at least mitigated. Having the interest paid in an asset that is desigend to counteract inflation is even more counter inflation, right?

I love Shake Pay, to my core. I hope they keep coming up with easy ways for me to earn Bitcoin from my phone. 

Needless to say I am excited to add another earning stream.
