So for New Years, Robinhood decided to give all of its users a free treat yesterday. Nobody knew what it was but I was guessing it was probably some cash. All you had to do is, keep the Robinhood screen open on the phone during that time and there was a countdown leading to the event. As it turns out yesterday, they dropped approximately about $7 worth DOGE coing yesterday to everyone who participated. 

After that surprise drop yeserday, they announced today that they were doing something special for their Gold members which I am so I was anticipating something a lot bigger and better but I guess the word got out and a good number of people joined and we all ended up with about $8 worth of Bitcoin today! 

So that's a total of $15 worth crypto airdrops from Robinhood between yesterday and today for their users. I wonder what their motive was in doing this but nevertheless it was a good airdrop overall. 

The initial pot was about $2.1M USD divided evenly among all the participants which meant approximately 350k people participated in the drop yesterday for DOGE coin and the pot today was about $2.5M USD which means maybe about 250k Gold people claimed their airdrops today.
