If you probably were not hiding under a rock, you must have heard about a new project on our beloved hive blockchain, GOLEM OVERLORD. This is the newest game on hive chain and created by the popular splex.gg team. If you are a splinterlands player or investor, you must have heard about them as a renting service that provide auto renting service for a cut and helps you to earn good returns on your cards. Apart from that, They also have several useful tools and services that many splinterlands players use including me. But they didn’t stop just with that and just recently launched a full fledged game on hive chain - GO (Golem Overlord).

For those who are new to this project, This is an idle type game that takes place in a dystopian world where your golems must scrape or collect PARTs in order to survive and players in this game will act as Golemancers who will be controlling these golems. PART is the main currency or token in this game and can be obtained by investing and playing the game. On the other hand, players need to burn this token for nearly everything in this game which includes upgrades, opening NFT packs, levelling up and much more. There is also another token SHARD which has no use case as of right now but will be used to open crates once they released in near future.
The game got launched on 7th April, 2023 and right now in alpha phase and the play and earn feature has also started. In order to play the game, you have to buy the Golemancer Staff which costs 30 swap.hive. As said by the team, The tokenomics of the game is very carefully crafted to ensure extreme scarcity, adding real value and exclusivity to the gaming experience and it also features a skill and levelling system where you can level up your account through playing and investing and increase your earnings. It also offers multi accounting which means you can create multiple accounts and keep playing without any hazards and they also provide a detailed tokenomics statistics of the game. Like most games out there, this game also has a leaderboard that displays the top players in the game and there current stats and provides an opportunity to compete with other players by attacking or raiding their bases and loot their tokens.
This is certainly a skill based game where the more you upgrade different aspects of your game, the more powerful you will become and this more earnings. You can even search for a certain player and check his stats and even raid him for loot rewards (PART tokens) where in the other hand you also have to upgrade your fortification so that other player find it hard to attack you. With this idle type game, the players can experience a unique dystopian world type strategic gameplay and believe me when I say it is very engaging and interesting.
When the game launched back in 7th April, the players would had to spend only 20 swap.hive in order to buy the starter pack or Staff to become enable to play the game, but when I joined today, the price went up to 30 swap.hive. However, I really liked the fact that the owner of this game Splex has promised that they will never sell PART or SHARD, the 2 in-game tokens that I talked about above or even the NFTs which are about to get introduced in the game soon. As they stated in their official post, these NFTs can only be obtained through playing and burning their in-game tokens PART or SHARD and they took this necessary step so that the game remains fair and players can access these irrespective of their monetary strength.
Now, I have only joined the game today and understanding the basics of the game and how to play and invest efficiently so that I can grow fast in here. I was already a member of the Splex discord server where they have created dedicated channels for Golem Overlord game. The community is pretty active I would say, during my first time playing I was asking several doubts in there and they were more than happy to clear my doubts. However, as a newbie I am right now playing safely without much investment. I have decided to play it for a couple of days and fully understand how the game mechanic works and how to invest efficiently so that I get a better ROI while enjoying the game in meantime. In future I will try to post more about this game as I gain more knowledge and experience.
