Huge development in the Social Media and Web 3.0 world!
Telegram co-founder and CEO, Pavel Durov, is considering the implementation of Web3 and NFT features to Telegram in the future.
Here is Pavel Durov's post explaining his idea:

This story is a little complex when it comes to TON (The Open Network).
The interesting aspect about TON, is that it was originally called Telegram Open Network, and it was founded by brothers Nikolai and Pavel Durov. In June 2020, Telegram was forced to cease active development of TON after the SEC complained they allegedly conducted unregistered securities sales.
TON is a self-described decentralized layer-1 blockchain; it's whitepaper can be found here. TON is capable of handling millions of transactions per second, and claims to be both environmentally-friendly and ultra fast.
Here is a graphic detailing the speed of TON:

TON has recently launched a service that allows users to purchase and auction ".ton" domain names. Click here for more information regarding the TON DNS service.
Pavel Durov mentions this DNS auction service because it just recently auctioned off 2,000 .ton domain names for a total of 2,392,002 Toncoin; with total sales reaching about $3.2 million.
The largest auction so far has been "Wallet.ton" selling for staggering $260k, followed up by "Casino.ton" selling for $244k.
You can see why this would excite the CEO of one of the largest Social Media companies in the world. Especially, since Telegram is extremely familiar with TON, being their original owners.
Telegram has 700 million users and the potential for insane profits is just waiting to be tapped. Telegram could turn its usernames, channel links, and even stickers and emojis, into NFTs and incorporate a Web3.0 marketplace.
I can imagine that usernames like Amazon and Google will sell for insane amounts. I would advise you guys to maybe sign up for a Telegram account in anticipation of this future Web3 integration.
Currently, you can head over to this dns.ton.org to search for available .ton domain names, or bid on already owned names.
It is probably smart to scoop up some potentially valuable names. Publish0x might want to get a move on this, as their domain name is still available.

I may even purchase my own ZeroRequiem.ton domain name.
Leave a comment if you purchased a domain name already or are thinking about it in the future!
See ya!
