Nike is launching an NFT platform

I saw some interesting news today and decided to share it with you guys!

The famous athletic shoes and apparel company, Nike, announced today, via a blog post, that they will be launching a web3 NFT platform titled, .SWOOSH.

I am happy to see this after all the crazy and sad things that have been happening in the crypto world.

It is nice to see that companies are still forging onward, despite the scary times.

"Whether you’re a designer, storyteller, gamer, or just have love for sport and Nike culture, we want you to build Nike’s virtual community with us." - Nike, Inc.

.SWOOSH will be launching their beta on November 18th, 2022.

At launch, users will only be able to collect their favorite virtual shoes, jerseys, and accessories.

Nike plans incorporate more features as through the end of 2022, and throughout 2023.

Eventually you will be able to buy, sell, and trade virtual products on the web3 platform.

Nike even plans to allow users to "co-create" their own virtual creations.

Starting in December, there will be community challenges planned and the select few winners of these challenges will be able to earn royalties on their creations.

These creations may even be used in web3 games and virtual events.

The first .SWOOSH collection is expected to drop in January 2023.

This all sounds amazing, but the best part, for me, is that the NFT platform will be built exclusively on the Polygon blockchain.
