I took the weekend off from writing, as I was dealing with some burnout. However, I am feeling a lot better now and ready to finish out the month really strong.
Sorry I haven't responded to any comments since Friday, I promise I will get to each and every one of them! :)
Now, let's get to the News Story!
Back in 2019, Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, filed Defamation lawsuits against many Crypto influencers, including:
- Vitalik Buterin (founder of Ethereum),
- Roger Ver (an early Bitcoin investor),
- and Peter McCormack (a Crypto Podcaster)
He even wrote a notorious blog post on Medium issuing a threat to everyone who calls him a fraud. I encourage you to give it a read.
However, the Crypto Influencer we are talking about today is Hodlonaut. Never heard of him? Me neither, until this news story came out!
Hodlonaut is mostly on Twitter, and from what I gathered he called Craig Wright a bunch of not nice names and referred to him as a Fraud many times, even starting a Hashtag trend on Twitter.
Craig Wright took offense to an subsequently filed a Defamation lawsuit against the Twitter/Crypto personality.
Here is a link to the translated court document, which shows the now-deleted tweets of Hodlonaut and is also the main focus of the case.
Even the founder and CEO of Binance, CZ Peng, tweeted out denouncing the move by Craig Wright.
On October 20th, Hodlonaut announced he had won the Defamation lawsuit by tweeting out: "I won. Welcome to law."

I am happy with the result, as I dislike people who try to use the law to silence others.
If Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, then all he needs to do is prove it....but from what I can tell he either doesn't have any or is unwilling to share it.
Either way, Craig Wright is certainly not making any friends or winning anyone over with his actions.
