Coinbase Starts Hiring in India
Coinbase, one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchange platforms with backing by venture funds such as Andreessen Horowitz and Y Combinator, is now hiring in India! As Coinbase is a well-known exchange in the crypto space, we expect competition to be strong for roles at Coinbase, and more eyes will be on Coinbase as their IPO is expected to happen this April.
Currently all roles will be remote, meaning new employees in India can work from any location in the country. Coinbase expects to open a physical office in Hyderabad, potentially later this year.
There are currently 5 openings in India, and Coinbase expects to start hiring more engineering, software development, and customer support roles in the future.
Other Coinbase Offices
Coinbase has been actively hiring in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, and as a company is committed to being remote-first - meaning new hires can work from anywhere in their country.
Coinbase recently opened up hiring in Canada in December 2020. They started with technical and recruiting roles, and plan to expand to other engineering and finance roles soon. A physical office in Canada is also forthcoming, though Coinbase has not hinted at whether that will be in Toronto, Vancouver, or elsewhere.
While Coinbase may not be the most exciting company in the crypto space, it is undeniable that it has some of the best resources, name recognition, and stability, which makes it a desirable place to work.
I have no affiliation with Coinbase, nor do I receive any compensation from anyone for this article (except tippers on Publish0x!).
