I have been reflecting much on manhood recently, and what it means to be an embodiment of the divine masculine. I feel as though many men, including myself, are lost in this endless cacophony of modern culture. A culture that takes every opportunity to blame men for their problems and guilt men simply for being male and striving to be what we are genetically wired to be.
In the first chapter of Genesis, we are told that we ARE the divine image.
Verse 26 and 27 reads,
“26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
We are blessed by this divine image.
We are blessed to be men.
Despite the ongoing cultural war against manhood, we are blessed by these difficulties and hardships, because these hardships will yield a renaissance. This cultural attack on men is creating strong movements that aim to bring us back to our roots, and back to where we belong.
As men, we are tasked with holding each other accountable, and helping each other become the best versions of ourselves. We are made in God’s image, and it's time we realize what that means.
Contrary to the culture’s attacks, we, as men, are meant to be leaders. Deep in our soul is this desire to lead, and that is because we have been given the Holy task of being stewards of our great inheritance… the earth realm.
We are to take dominion of the land, as we cultivate, transform, protect, and glorify our precious gift.
Unfortunately, we are at a time in history where we are led by the least among us. The “leadership” has disintegrated into babbling, incoherent servants of worldly masters. We are at a new turning, where tough choices will be made. It is our duty, as upright men, to take back our land, and lead our communities.
Just as we build and steward the land, we must build and steward ourselves. We should be honored to share the divine image with the Creator, and we should never take it for granted.
I would like to expand on some ideas that will help us become what we were born to be. This transformation will not come easily, as we must first undo the many failures in the current cultural blueprint of “man,” and re-align ourselves with the true path of divine nature.
I once had a dream where I met the pure manifestation of evil, inside the body of a woman. She instantly lured me. She was not attractive, but the evil promises were. The temptation took over my psyche with ease. She delivered unto me the most atrocious evil the world could conjure. I could not escape it. She used me to manifest this evil. Then, I woke up.
As much as I tried to forget that dream, it haunted me for months.
I have tried for many years to study my dreams. Sometimes they are archetypal, and easy to understand, but this one, was confusing and disturbing despite the strong motifs.
I kept asking myself, "How could my mind have conjured this?" How is it that I feel guilt for being so easily manipulated in this dream, when the dream itself was not real?
The dream contained a lesson. It proved that we are all capable of evil. We all have an evil seed inside of us, and if we let it germinate, we are overtaken.
So why do I mention this? Men are attacked daily with fertilizer for this evil seed.
One of our greatest weaknesses, as men, is sex. The cultural controllers know this, and they target us with pornography and sexualized imagery at every turn. This pornographic content is a sophisticated weapon meant to destabilize the culture, demoralize the male population, and disrupt our biological signals. It makes us develop a fetishistic attitude, not only toward the divine feminine form, but to other offerings. This is but one of many weapons being used against us.
None of us are protected from true evil. In fact, we are completely defenseless. The only protection we have is from our Creator.
A chapter we are familiar with, is in Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:10-18 tell us:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
It is often easier to read than to put into practice. It is not easy to face your day to day life with this spiritual armor. I know I forget about it far too often. There is also an element of persecution, when one is armed in this way. Whenever we see a picture of armed individuals at a protest, we see people take to social media to laugh and point at these crazy "conspiracy theorists."
The same thing can happen with our peers. When we wear our spiritual armor, we are showing others that we are with out fear. We wear this armor because we know a threat looms close. Those that are immersed Modernity are infuriated by this. They will run to point and laugh at us. Some will even take the time to attempt to “cancel” or dox us. Are we prepared, not only to fight evil, but be persecuted for doing so?
This is where we find ourselves as men in this modern environment. When we act proud to be men, and when we confront evil with our spiritual armor, we open ourselves to attack from the current culture. The time has come to wear our spiritual armor, and it’s time to become what we were born to be. Leaders.
To return to our roots, we must undo decades of incorrect education.
As I mentioned earlier, the failures of the post-modern cultural blueprint of “man” have completely restructured society in a way that has led to a destabilization. We are at a crucial moment, where we have to make the choice to transform. First, ourselves, then our families, and then our communities.
As a free willed man of God, you are the one, that must make a choice. You are at that fork in the road right now, and the choice is yours… Which way, western man?
I want to cover a few things we can to, as men, to be proactive. Whether you do all of these things, or start with just a few, these are ways in which we can act now to reclaim our purpose and become better men.
-A basic guide to get started-
First, a simple statement, “Read the Bible.”
Whether you are a Christian or not, the Bible is a fascinating library of information.
Reading the Bible as an adult is completely different than reading it as a child. The information contained in the Bible makes up the structure of reality. As a child, we do not realize this, nor can we even comprehend the implication of this. In the Bible, is the entirety of all linguistic modeling of our universe. There is no point in me summarizing the Biblical story, but I have presented you with the statement, “Read the Bible.” This is a great place to start, and if you feel intimidated by the Bible, a great stepping stone into the Biblical story is Jordan Peterson’s Biblical series on Genesis. If you are more interested in the literary side of the Bible, I recommend listening to Northrop Frye’s lecture series. The Holy Scriptures will give you more than you realize.
Next, cultivate a community of like minded friends.
Friendship is something every man needs. These friends will help you on your journey, just as you will help them.
Make friends with those who share your beliefs. Having a common faith with your friends will encourage spiritual growth, and help build strong camaraderie. Work out and train together, feast together, talk about life and philosophy, and pray together. Educate and learn from each other. Hold each other accountable and build each other up. Always tell the truth. Build a brotherhood that will look out for one another. The importance of strong friendships is only second to a strong family in this realm. Cultivate these relationships, and you will see a dramatic improvement in your life, and the life of your friends.
Next is a difficult one for many of us. Work out and be healthy.
We are surrounded by unhealthy habits. Mass produced foods, sedentary lifestyles, pornography, consumptive programming… all of these are a recipe for weakness. Once we change these habits, we can begin building ourselves, and start to realize our true, masculine form. We should strive to gain strength. Eat healthy foods (like red meat, eggs, raw milk) and do our best not eat the unhealthy options peddled to us at the store (like sugar, seed oils, soy). Lift weights and build your body. Get daily sunlight and spend time outdoors. Refuse to watch pornography. Limit media exposure. These things not only build our bodies, but will also heal our minds.
Absorb the classical arts.
Art is a crucial part of life. Fully embrace it. Listen to the beautiful early music of your ancestors. If you are intimidated by music, learn a bit about music theory.
View artworks of the masters. Study form and light. Visit museums and learn about art history. Read old books and study the creations of generations past. The arts are there, not just for our pleasure, but they tell a great story of where we have come from. Art should be meaningful. Embrace it, and enjoy it. Becoming cultured in the arts is absolutely a masculine quality that will not only enhance your life, but will also be an attractive quality to women.
Work hard and make money.
As a man, you are a provider. It is up to you to secure your financial freedom.
In this day and age, I understand the difficulty of making money. It is not easy in a country where the currency is being manipulated daily and the weak leadership causes severe financial woes. However, if you develop skills that are useful, good things will usually follow. If having a boss isn’t your cup of tea, start a business, or become a freelancer. Create multiple streams of income. Work hard and SAVE. This is how you can work toward building a family, and community.
Speaking of family, find a beautiful wife.
Date with the intention of getting married. DO NOT sleep around and don’t fall for the empty promises of swipe culture. Find a godly woman that embodies the divine feminine, and will work together with you to marry, build a family and legacy. Once you have secured this, have fruitful sex and procreate. Contrary to what modern culture says, our population is in a dramatic decline. Become a father. Nothing will bring you more joy or fulfillment than this.
Continue your bloodline, make beautiful children that will pass on your traditions and legacy. Give them a Classical education. Raise them as upstanding, godly people and share with them tradition and knowledge. There is nothing more important than this. This is what life is about.
All of these steps I have just outlined take time. They take effort, and untold amounts of personal sacrifice and hard work. Although some of these steps can be difficult, doing these things have the potential to change our entire cultural landscape, starting with us, as individual men, and moving out through our families and communities. I feel that we are on the cusp of a cultural renaissance, but we have difficult times ahead, and our navigation through these times, will depend on our strength as men. Let us go forth and create a culture worth fighting for.
