Crypto fraudster Roman Novak and his wife found dismembered in UAE after ransom plot implodes - ex-Russian cop arrested in grisly double murder.
Novak, a convicted crypto fraudster who allegedly siphoned more than $300 million through his fintech platform Fintopio, was lured with his wife to a fake investor meeting near Hatta, where they were abducted in a scheme to force access to his crypto wallets. When the ransom effort failed, the couple were killed and dismembered, with multiple suspects - including ex-police officer Konstantin Shakht now in custody.

Massive overstep’: mistrial declared for ‘MEV Brothers’ accused of $25 million fraud on Ethereum.
The trial of two MIT-educated brothers accused of orchestrating a $25 million fraud on Ethereum by allegedly exploiting a flaw in MEV-Boost ended in a mistrial after the jury deadlocked in Manhattan federal court. Coin Center executive director Peter Van Valkenburgh, who wrote an amicus brief in favor of brothers Anton and James Peraire-Bueno, called the case a “massive overstep” by prosecutors in an interview with The Block. The deadlocked jury had complained that deliberations led some jurors to tears and sleepless nights, Business Insider reported.

Hardware wallet provider Ledger has announced that its revenue for 2025 has reached hundreds of millions of dollars, marking the best performance in the company's history.
CEO Pascal Gauthier stated that by the end of 2025, revenue had grown to this scale, with Ledger currently holding approximately $100 billion in Bitcoin for clients. Gauthier also mentioned that the company may pursue a public listing in New York or a new round of private fundraising, with plans to expand its team in the city.
