As a stark reminder for everyone in Crypto to always Stay Frosty.. a crypto whale known as “sillytuna” reportedly lost $24M after armed attackers forced them to give access to their wallet at their home.
The funds were drained in a single transaction and later routed across multiple protocols, with Arkham Intelligence tracking the movement across 47 addresses, with roughly $21M still on-chain.

According to a filing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the SEC has dismissed the claims it brought in 2023 against Justin Sun, the Tron Foundation and the BitTorrent Foundation.
Meanwhile, Rainberry, formerly BitTorrent Inc., agreed to pay a $10 million civil penalty to the SEC. The case had alleged unregistered securities sales of TRX and BTT and market manipulation.

Coinbase CEO and Execs face shareholder lawsuit over disclosure and compliance failures.
A Coinbase shareholder has filed a derivative lawsuit against CEO Brian Armstrong and several members of the company's board and executive team, alleging they misled investors about risks tied to custody practices, securities listings, and anti-money laundering controls.
The lawsuit alleges that between April 2021 and June 2023, Coinbase leadership breached fiduciary duties and issued "materially false and misleading statements" that exposed the company to regulatory scrutiny and legal liabilities.

Publicly listed Bitcoin mining companies have offloaded more than 15k BTC since October.
Key sales include:
Cango sold 4,451 BTC in February (about 60% of its reserves).
Bitdeer liquidated its entire Bitcoin treasury last month.
Riot Platforms made multiple BTC sales in December.
Core Scientific plans to sell approximately 2,500 BTC in Q1.
MARA Holdings' latest filing discloses flexibility to buy and sell BTC, with current holdings exceeding 53k BTC.
