An update on the Upbit Exchange Hack that we reported on yesterday.
Upbit parent company Dunamu CEO Lee Sirgoo apologized for the recent security breach, admitting internal security lapses and pledging zero user losses.
Korean authorities say North Korea’s Lazarus Group is the key suspect in Upbit’s ₩44.5B (~$32M) hack. Investigators traced wallet-hops and mixing patterns identical to previous Lazarus ops, including Upbit’s 2019 breach. FSS and KISA have launched an on-site investigation.

Kalshi is now facing a US nationwide class action lawsuit alleging it is operating an illegal sports betting operation by misleading users into believing they are betting against other participants, when in reality they are betting against the company itself.
The lawsuit also claims Kalshi enables addictive gambling behavior among underage users and has sponsored a variety of influencers, including a 15-year-old gaming influencer, to promote the platform.
