Strategy announced buying a whopping $2.13 Billion worth of Bitcoin.
They said “Strategy has acquired 22,305 BTC for ~$2.13 billion at ~$95,284 per bitcoin. As of 1/19/2026, we hodl 709,715 $BTC acquired for ~$53.92 billion at ~$75,979 per bitcoin.”

According to CoinGate, Bitcoin led crypto payments in 2025 with a 22.1% share, followed by USDT (16.6%) and Litecoin.
TRX rose to 11.5% and ETH to 10.6%. The Bitcoin Lightning Network was the most used payment network, and Europe accounted for the largest crypto payment volume globally.

According to a post by Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero, Neynar will acquire and take over Farcaster.
Over the coming weeks, Farcaster’s protocol contracts, code repositories, official app, and Clanker will be transferred to Neynar for operation and maintenance, with Neynar assuming responsibility for protocol governance, developer coordination, and infrastructure operations.

US fast-food chain Steak 'n Shake announced that starting March 1, it will provide Bitcoin bonuses to all hourly employees at its company-operated restaurants.
For every hour worked, employees will receive an additional $0.21 worth of Bitcoin. Notably, employees are required to complete a two-year vesting period before they can collect these Bitcoins.

Hong Kong’s financial chief says the city will grant its first official stablecoin licenses in Q1 2026.
