Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO and recent Bitcoin fanatic, announced the creation of a custom Bitcoin Core emoji for Twitter. Now every time #Bitcoin is used, Twitter "automagically" adds a Bitcoin emoji right after.

Dorsey also took the opportunity to quote Unicode, the Twitter account for industry standards on how a text is represented on screens. But according to Emojipedia, the Bitcoin sign was added to Unicode 10.0 in 2017 as a character and not as emoji.

The Twitter CEO went further and today uses the Bitcoin emoji in his personal profile.
