Samsung, the famous producers of Smartphones across the globe has partnered with Theta.tv a blockchain-based streaming service to bring esports entertainment to Galaxy smartphone users.
The partnership will allow users of the Galaxy line of smartphones to access gaming content and receive rewards in the Theta Fuel (TFUEL) tokens which is the second token to THETA on the Theta.tv platform.
Theta.tv solution model
The San Jose based company seeks to address the bottlenecks associated with the current video delivery network. These include poor video quality, centralized nature of the platforms leading to less revenue flow between parties involved.
With their blockchain solution and tokenization, Theta.tv improves the business model of the video delivery network by introducing better incentive models, improved video quality and smoother delivery, reduction in the cost of delivering video streams, etc.
Supported Samsung Galaxy models
The open-source streaming platform according to reports will be pre-installed on all new Samsung S20 smartphones in the United States. Other lines of the Samsung brand like the S10, S9, Note 10 and Note 9 will also be supported through an update.
Millions of Samsung users will be able to earn TFUEL for watching streams. The TFUEL token earned from sharing your bandwidth and resources could be donated to streamers, or traded on crypto-exchange for other cryptos like Bitcoin, BAT, Ethereum, etc. The TFUEL price has surged over 1,000% in a period of one week, causing a buzz in the crypto space.
You can sign up on Theta.tv and start earning $TFUEL tokens by watching your favourite e sports contents.
