Post #57 – The Dark Side of Crypto Nobody Wants to Talk About

By XanonymousX | XELIS | 12 Aug 2025

Crypto looks exciting from the outside.
Moon shots, Lambos, freedom, all that.

But stay long enough, and you’ll see the side nobody posts on Twitter.

The Mental Toll

The charts don’t sleep.
So you don’t either.
You start refreshing your portfolio at 3am.
Every dip feels like a punch. Every pump feels like a drug.

And slowly, you stop living outside the screen.

The Scams and Rugs

You’ll get scammed.
You’ll fall for a rug.
You’ll trust the wrong project or the wrong influencer.
And you’ll blame them until you realize you ignored the red flags because greed blinded you.

That hurts more than the loss itself.

The Loneliness

People don’t talk about this.
You can make money and still feel empty.
Because trading isn’t community.
Shilling isn’t friendship.
And profit doesn’t fix everything.

Sometimes you look up from your screen and realize it’s just you, your wallet, and silence.

But There’s Light Too

Here’s the thing:
The dark side isn’t a reason to quit.
It’s a reason to get stronger.

Crypto forces you to face yourself.
Your greed. Your fear. Your patience.
It breaks you, then rebuilds you into someone sharper.

And if you can handle the dark, the light feels even brighter.

Final Thought

Crypto isn’t just charts.
It’s emotions, mistakes, and growth.
It’s brutal, beautiful, and unlike anything else.

If you’ve felt this side of it, you’re not alone.
Tip if this hit home, and remember:
The ones who survive the dark are the ones who win in the end.

I started this space because I genuinely believe $XELIS is something special. It's one of those projects that caught my attention and just stuck with me — not just for the tech, but for what it stands for: privacy, decentralization, and doing things a little differently. This blog isn’t meant to be overly technical or full of hype. I just wanted a place to share what I’m learning, keep up with what’s happening in the ecosystem, and maybe connect with others who are just as curious (or confused!) as I was
