Today is American Thanksgiving.
While I’m sure there’s a group of people for whom the holiday is problematic for one reason or another, I think the concept of a national day of thanksgiving (even if the original intent may not have been pure in the eyes of some) is a good one.
It supersedes all religions and it’s a universal theme.
This year’s Thanksgiving stands in stark contrast with last year’s.
Now, we have vaccines and it’s allowed people to come back together as family and friends.
For that alone, we should be thankful.
There’s a lot wrong with the world now, but a day like Thanksgiving reminds us that there’s a lot right.
