tl;dr: Is the Economist the tombstone for fiat? A cover that will life in infamy.

Someone asked me the other day, “are you excited about Bitcoin’s rise?”

My answer: “I’m really much more saddened by the fact that people are having their wealth and purchasing power reduced at such a pace.”

When I saw the cover for the Economist for the end of the July, I couldn’t hep but think of the irony. Arguably, the most important journal in the world calling the entire system into question.

It’s just the latest in a long line of images that we’ll remember.

This just comes on top of the “money printer go brrr.”..meme

which came after Neel Kashkari’s “infinite cash” comments on 60 minutes.

And of course, the one that started it all, in the Bitcoin Genesis block.
