New year, new poem

The time has come
As centuries last
Increasing the integer
One value past

2023 was fun
To say the very least
Between AIs and wars
And how the cost of everything increased

But the increased year value
Does not spark anew
Not a resolution or goal
I won’t see through

Instead, my thoughts
flow with the winter wind
What achievements should be pinned

Good health never hurts
Reading more is prosperous too
Learning and caring for others
Giving and sharing rings true

I’ll feel the room
Attempt to answer the call
See what 2024 brings
For now
I wish a Happy New Year to you all!
