Stories behind a photo #8. The tree and the slow-life

By PhoenixDev | WorldPhoto | 9 Aug 2020

Old tree

Hiking in the mountains, trying to slow down the daily rhythm. Fresh, clean air, no people around. I try to empty my mind and notice the nature around me.

Suddenly I come across an old tree, already dry but still standing. It has surely weathered hundreds of storms and snowfalls, seen thousands of hikers pass by, some in a hurry, others calmer.

We live in a fast-paced world, we are waiting to see if Bitcoin rises 10% in a few hours or if Ethereum falls 2%.

How many travelers have stopped at your feet lately, have taken out their mobile and tried to consult the graphs of the bag to see if they buy or sell.

Luckily for this tree, there is no coverage or internet connection at its feet. At most you can stop and contemplate it, thinking about everything you see every day, about the people who stop and realize that they live in a hurry, and also those who pass quickly, to quickly reach the destination of the excursion and return quickly home.

But, is not having fun and enjoying the tour the destination of the trip? What do you think?

Thanks. Enjoy the photo and the story.
