This story could take place in the mountains, on a glacier receding from climate change.
It could be that during this retreat an ice cave was exposed, perhaps a corridor that when followed follows us to an unexplored place, where a culture with which we have never been in contact could live and which has remained hidden for centuries thanks to ice.
