Hi. This is my first post on 'Stories behind a photo'. In these posts I would like to publish a photograph and a possible story that may be behind what the photograph shows. But, I would also like to know what stories or memories these photographs evoke.
Rake in the sand
I took this photo walking one day on the beach. No one was around, just this toy rake and a half-built sandcastle. Why had the rake been abandoned? Or maybe they had forgotten? Why wasn't the castle finished?
It was mid-afternoon, so I suppose they had gone home to eat and the children hadn't had time to finish it. Perhaps he had promised to return in the afternoon or the next day to continue building it.
Of course, there would be the rake waiting for them.
