HOW GOOD ARE MY CRYPTOIDS: A IN-DEPTH LOOK INTO BREEDING ON WORLD OF CRYPTOIDS

By T Block | World of Cryptoids | 19 Feb 2022

To be the best Cryptoid Master, you need to step up your breeding game. The real question here is how to breed smarter? Since breeding will cost your hard-earned $CGC and $CAC, it is in your best interest to breed with a plan in mind. To breed smarter, you have to understand how breeding in World of Cryptoids works.

EGG TYPES

Wonder if there is a way to tell what race a cryptoid is even in egg form? You can actually tell the parents’ race of the cryptoid eggs. Here is the chart showing all the combinations of eggs:

All these beautiful egg patterns reflect the race of the cryptoid parents. That way you will always have an idea of which race the cryptoid could be.

CRYPTOID GENE

Gene dictates what parts will your Cryptoids and their offsprings have. In the marketplace, you can browse the gene pool of your Cryptoids. There will always be three sets of gene: Dominant (D), Recessive (R1), and Recessive (R2). You can check the gene pool of your cryptoids in the “My Account” section of the “Marketplace”.

A dominant gene is what the Cryptoids has as parts and what the offsprings of this Cryptoid will most likely be getting. Aside from the dominant gene, each cryptoid also have two sets of hidden genes: R1 and R2 genes.

Recessive 1 and Recessive 2 gene are the hidden genes of the cryptoid, which has a slight possibility to pass it on to their offspring. Below is the chart shows the percentage of a certain gene that could pass on to the offspring:

Dominant Gene: 37.5%

Recessive Gene 1: 9.375%

Recessive Gene 2: 3.125%

Total: 50%

As you can see, the probability of a gene could pass on is significantly lower base on tiers. In other words, the offspring will most likely inherit the dominant genes of their parents.

One thing worth noting is that both parents have an equal probability of passing on their genes to their offspring.

More importantly, a cryptoid could only inherit its gene pool exclusively from its parents. No matter how hard you try, you could not breed a cryptoid with the gene that its parent doesn’t have, including recessive genes.

Therefore, it is important to plan ahead and aim for a specific gene combination before wasting your $CAC and $CGC to breed new cryptoids.

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN BREEDING?

Planning ahead is important for breeding cryptoids, but what should you aim for? Here are two elements of breeding you should take into consideration.

  1. PURITY

Purity is the most important indicator of a good cryptoid. It indicates how much stats bonus a cryptoid could get from its parts. Every part with the same race as the cryptoid will give it a stats boost bonus. So a cryptoid with more same race parts will generally have higher stats than their peers.

With this in mind, you will know pairing cryptoid parents with more same race parts is a good strategy in breeding pure cryptoids.

Since the odds of getting the R1 and R2 genes are pretty slim, you shouldn’t bet on getting those genes. Instead, you should be looking for a cryptoid with your desired parts in their dominant gene.

  1. ABILITY  COMBO

Getting the purest cryptoid isn’t always the brightest idea in World of Cryptoids: Sometimes it is worth trading some stats boost bonus for the access to some incredible ability card from different races.

For example, although getting a pure Food cryptoid could get your impeccable hp stats and defensive ability, it might be worth it to get some defensive ability in the Fashion ability pool.

Damage retaliate, doubling shield value, and sharing shield value is very good defensive fashion abilities that would be valuable to a Food tank.

Having a good defensive ability is sometimes better than just a little extra stats boost, especially when it creates good synergy with other abilities of the cryptoid.

In short, it is impossible to explain all the details or state all the good combinations of gene pools in one single blog. However, we had covered the essential tips and given the basic knowledge and tools for you to explore the endless possibilities of breeding in the World of Cryptoids.
