The messaging app WhatsApp will not work on earlier Android and iOS phones from November 1. In particular, 43 models of smartphones have been reported. As a result, if you have a phone on this list, you may have to buy a new smartphone to use WhatsApp.
According to media reports quoting WhatsApp, phones with Android 4.0.4 or earlier operating system and phones with iOS 9 or earlier will no longer work.
