Teenage Surfer Killed by Shark off Australian Coast

A 15 year-old boy surfing off the Wooli Beach in New South Wales, Australia, was attacked by what is believed to be a great white shark, and died not long after being pulled onto the beach by nearby surfers. Paramedics were called to the scene just before 14:30 local time. According to witnesses, the boy suffered severe leg injuries and a surfer reportedly tried to pull the shark away, but the boy passed away despite receiving CPR and first aid treatment. Beaches in the area including Wooli, Digger's Camp, and Minnie Water have bee temporarily closed.
