South Korean officials reported on Friday, April 10th, 2020, that 91 patients thought to have been cleared of the Covid-19 coronavirus had tested positive again. However, Jeong Eun-kyeong, the director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), and Kim Woo-joo, a professor of infectious disease at the Korea University Guro Hospital, state that patients had likely "relapsed" rather than been re-infected. Epidemiological investigations are currently underway, as local officials say that it still remain unclear what is behind the trend.

As of now, South Korea has reported a total of 10,450 confirmed cases and at least 208 Covid-19 related deaths. Currently, just over 7,000 people have recovered
