Boeing Cutting Over 12,000 Jobs Through Layoffs and Buyouts


Boeing stated that as the travel industry continues to suffer from the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic, over 12,000 jobs will be cut. One of the largest American manufacturers will be laying off 6,770 U.S. employees this week, with about an additional 5,520 workers taking buyout offers and leaving the company voluntarily. The company stated that several thousand additional jobs will be eliminated in the United States of America along with international locations in the coming months to cope with Covid-19 damages.

According to the Transportation Security Administration, there is an 89% drop of passengers at airports on Tuesday, May 26th, 2020, compared to the same Tuesday a year ago. They also reported that in mid-April, air travel within the United States dropped by as much as 96%.
