Argentina Bans all Domestic and International Commercial Flights Until September

Amid the global Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, Argentina's National Civil Aviation Administration (NCAA) issued a decree on Monday, April 27th, 2020, banning all ticket sales for commercial domestic and international flights until at least September 1st, 2020. While the NCAA states that the new decree will prevent airlines from selling flights not approved by authorities, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) sent a letter to the Argentine government saying that the NCAA's degree breached bilateral agreements and put over 300,000 jobs at risk across the nation while the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced that the NCAA's degree was "not agreed with the industry".
