Theyyam the ritual dance form has existed for a 1000 years bringing peace and prosperity to the land. Its various forms strike fear in evil minds and empower the common man to exist  as part of something bigger than self.

The Naga Gods of the forest protect the land and its people. These theyyams / deities have meticulously crafted headgear and facepaint of natural materials which are shown as a divergent image of the traditional gods.

They have existed and people believe in their power to great extent.

There are many forms of these deities which are found in different districts of North Kerala each possessing immense energy and will to protect its people.
